I have a recipe that aunt wants to share with everyone.
Hidden Treasure Strawberry Salad
2 (3 oz.) packages strawberry jello
1 c. of boiling water
2 (10 oz.) packages frozen sliced strawberries, partially thawed
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
3 med. bananas, mashed
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 (10 1/2 oz.) package unbaked cheese cake mix
Directions:
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in fruit and nuts. Pour half of this mixture in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Chill until firm. Store remaining mixture at room temperature. Prepare cheese cake filling according to package directions. Reserve graham crackers for other uses. Spoon cheese cake filling over congealed fruit mixture. Then spoon remaining gelatin mixture over filling and chill until firm.
